Private lessons
Lessons move between somatic grounding, technique, repertoire, and self-expression. The work is serious, but the atmosphere is light. Each student enters a living field of breath, listening, play, and precision, where technique is always in service of creativity.

Detective work, guided with curiosity, not pressure.
Students are given detective names, custom notes, and field resources that make the process more alive, memorable, and personal. The frame is playful, but the method is exact: breath, body, listening, technique, song, expression, then back to the body.
The teaching draws from somatic practice, song study, and Taoist principles of grounding, non-forcing, and returning to center. It is designed to help the voice become more free, more connected, and more distinct.
This can include voice work, songwriting, guitar, cello, song interpretation, creative coaching, and tailored mission-style follow-up materials between lessons.
“Technique serves expression. The body is the first instrument. The song reveals what is already there.”

- Through this work, students learn to return to the body, sharpen technique, and open a clearer path to creativity, expression, and their own distinct voice.
Some students also receive custom field notes, practice maps, and mission briefs that make the work easier to remember and easier to continue between lessons. These are not generic exercises. They are living documents shaped around the student’s actual voice, questions, songs, and breakthroughs.
2. Skills and self-discovery, not busywork.
